How do I get started?

What are the common side effects?

Common side effects may include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, headache, tiredness, dizziness, bloating, belching, gas, heartburn, runny nose, or sore throat. Please consult your provider if symptoms persist or worsen.

How often are follow-up visits?

Follow-up visits are typically scheduled monthly but may be more or less frequent depending on your individual needs.

What much does it cost?

The monthly membership fee is $99. The cost of the semaglutide vial varies depending on the pharmacy and dosage. For example, one pharmacy may charge around 100 for an 4-week supply at the lowest dose. Insurance does not cover the provider visit or the medication cost.

Do I still need to diet and exercise?

Yes. Healthy diet and exercise are essential for successful weight loss. A balanced diet rich in lean proteins, healthy fats, fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and adequate hydration is crucial. Aim for at least 30 minutes of exercise daily to support your weight loss journey.

How do the weight loss injections work?

Semaglutide is a once-weekly injectable medication that helps with weight loss by mimicking a hormone in the body that regulates blood sugar levels and reduces appetite.

What is telemedicine?

Telemedicine involves providing medical care using secure, HIPAA-compliant technology platforms to offer assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans remotely. Appointments are conducted remotely.

Do you accept commercial insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid?

We currently do not accept any insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid.

Can you prescribe medication in other states?

No, prescriptions are only provided for patients residing in the State of Maryland.

How do I dispose of the syringes?

Place syringes in a leak-proof, puncture-resistant container. Do not place syringes with recyclables or loose in the trash.

How quickly can I expect to lose weight?

Weight loss timelines vary as individuals respond differently to the medication. Results may begin gradually over several weeks.

Can I travel with my medication?

Yes! When flying, carry your medication in your carry-on bag to avoid exposure to freezing temperatures in checked luggage. Check with your airline for any specific travel guidelines.

Can I take the injection at any time of day?

Yes. It’s best to take it on the same day each week at a time that is most convenient for you.

Can I change the day I take the injection?

Yes, as long as your last dose was at least two days prior, you can adjust the day of your weekly injection.
